Cookie policy
The short version: the public site sets no cookies. A few of your choices are remembered in your own browser, and nothing is used to track you.

Cookies
Visitors get no cookies from PlantAlong: no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies, and none from other companies.
The only cookie is for the people who write the blog. When an editor signs in to the site's editing area, the server sets one cookie:
| Name | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
studio_session | Keeps a signed-in editor signed in. Strictly necessary, HttpOnly, sent only over HTTPS. | 30 days, or until sign-out |
Storage in your browser
Some choices are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only. They are never sent to our server, and they are not cookies, but we list them here so you know what is kept:
| Key | What it remembers | Saved |
|---|---|---|
plantalong-onboarded | That you have seen the welcome tour with Pip, so it does not open again. | When you close the tour |
last-zip | Your last ZIP code, so the calendar can offer it again. | When you look up a ZIP code |
theme | Your light or dark theme choice. | When you use the theme switch |
plantalong-a11y | Your accessibility settings, such as text size or paused animations. | When you change a setting |
garden-comment-name | The name you used on a blog comment, to fill it in next time. | When you post a comment |
These are needed for features you choose to use, so we do not ask for consent before saving them.
Analytics and ads
This site does not run analytics. There are no ads. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first, and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.
Clearing it
You can delete all of it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Accessibility settings can also be cleared with Reset all in the accessibility panel. More about what we collect is on the privacy page.
